BBC Tech Meetup

The second BBC Tech Meetup will be on Thursday 12th March, from 6:30pm, at our Quay House office in Salford Quays, MediaCityUK, Salford.

We have three fantastic talks lined up:

  • How finding tech changed my life – Ikra Pervaiz (@chemtocode)
  • Responsive Web Design is dead. Long live Intrinsic Web Design – Josh Tumath from BBC Core Services
  • Should I plugin this USB I found? – Joe Bollen, BBC Information Security Architect

Curious why you’re always told not to plug in random USBs you find?

Understand how the HID attack vector can be used by hackers dropping random USBs hoping you will plug them in.

Doors open at 18:30 and the talks will kick off at 19:00. There will be FREE pizza and drinks available! Some of us will also be heading to The Dockyard (http://www.dockyard.pub/mcuk/) after the talks (around 9pm), to continue the conversations.

RSVP is open! Sign up now if you’d like to join. Please bring ID with you to the event.

This meetup is kindly sponsored by BBC iPlayer & BBC Sounds (BBC Design + Engineering).
